Help: forgot to attach resume!

Post by ironteacher » Sun Oct 31, 2010 11:56 pm

I foolishly forgot to attach my resume on a critical app. What can/must/should I do to fix the situation?

Please help!

Find one of those Harry Potter owls and get him/her to deliver it. Or you could send the admissions department an email with a short explanation and a request that it be added to your file. Serious helplessness FTW.

Pulling an all-nighter for a PS is a recipe for disaster...

Id say the same thing but actually it worked for me haha I had been so nervous but being so tired I just started rambling and actually had a great outline for a PS around 5 AM.

granted i had three more works after my all-nighter to work on it and edit/cut it down

Aren't carrier pigeons still around?

Should I call up first, to receive approval? Do you think they will make a note in my file along the lines of "applicant X forgot to attach resume"?

Thanks for the help.

Sorry about the PS situation. How could you forget to write a PS? I'm confused by that.

I think it depends on the school. I recall some school's were sticklers for the "original app" (e.g., Mich) and some were pretty lax.

Edit: haha P.S. Sorry I was a douche. You made me FEEL BAD after you thanked me for helping.

At this point, it doesn't matter whether they make nasty notes on your app or not. What's done is done, so why worry? Just send the email and hope they're chill about it.

I sent it off by email today. I hope it finds its place in my file and doesn't cause problems. How foolish that was...
