Columbia ED vs. NYU ED...

Post by per200ml » Sun Oct 31, 2010 2:55 am

GPA: 3.96
LSAT: 172
Decent softs, nothing spectacular
+ What I assume to be good LORs

Would be ecstatic to attend either school, but I would really like a guarantee that I will be able to stay in NY for school
I've been given the impression that NYU puts more weight on ED than Columbia... Is this true?

Do you have good softs? Those are potentially HYS numbers.

Some good work experience, a few academic honors/honor societies, nothing too crazy

Don't ED. You're good at at least one of them. And if you get into Harvard but want to stay in NY, I'm sure both NY schools would consider throwing a little money at you to lure you away from the big H.

While I know this is anecdotal evidence, I personally know several people with worse numbers than you who got into NYU and Columbia non-ED.

Get working on that PS!
