my PS implies that i want to do policy work
my DS goes through some family issues and implies that i want to do social work
i don't know what kind of law i want to do. if i HAD to choose at the moment, i would lean towards doing policy
i dont know if my DS is an actual DS. do i have to tie my family issues back to law? if i dont, then i would just describe my family issues and their impact on me and wouldnt have to deal with the conflicting ideas
if someone can read my DS that would be helpful too!

Re: Conflicting DS and PS
I think that having a cohesive application is a good thing and that vacillating can be a bad thing.
You don't need to choose the type of law you want to do right now, but it's better to seem like you have only one in mind rather than several if you choose to mention it.
You don't have to tie your DS back to law. It's about showing how you add diversity.
