On Xxx XXst, 2010 I was cited for speeding, 4X in 25 mile per hour zone, in *Notorious speed trap city. crazy speeding law state*. I was subsequently ordered to and immediately paid a $5xx fine. I have have since been more alert for reduction in speed signs while exiting interstates especially when unfamiliar with the area.
too snarky?

Too detailed. Why would you want anyone to know you got a ticket for speeding while doing 4x anyways? It's pretty weak to get a speeding ticket doing anything less than triple digits.

Better. I'd personally cut the "learned a lesson" part as well. It isn't like a speeding ticket is a sign of bad judgment or character fault so no need to be apologetic about it, especially when it's a single, isolated incident rather than a history of speeding while DUI with a bottle of whiskey, a gun and 3 hookers in your car.

you don't need to write an addendum for a speeding ticket....

Re: Speeding ticket addendum
This is my speeding ticket addendum:
"I received the first of my two speeding tickets in September of 2007 and the second in July of 2009. In both cases I was traveling on the highway at approximately 15 miles per hour over the speed limit of 65mph. I was not required to appear in court for either case, and plead guilty by way of mailing my tickets to the respective local courts of the towns in which I received the tickets. Both tickets resulted in fines of between $150 and $200 which I promptly paid."

Re: Speeding ticket addendum
probably. I'm pretty sure everyone who was driven a car for an extended period of time has gone over the speed limit enough to get a ticket, whether on purpose or by accident. Unless you've gotten multiple multiple tickets for reckless speeding I don't see why we even have to disclose something as simple as missing a speed limit sign and it makes more sense to just say I got a ticket, big whoop the end.

Re: Speeding ticket addendum
Some schools specifically state to disclose speeding tickets. BU for example says something along the lines of "have you ever been convicted of a crime other than a first offense for any of the following" followed by a list that includes speeding, other schools just ask if you've ever been convicted of anything.

I'm pretty pumped about having to disclose the time I hit a parked car a week after I got my license.

Haha, that should be a good one. Yeah, I guess it's pretty ridiculous that you have to disclose that.

Anyone think I will get dinged for 2 dozen tickets in 6 years?

30+ tickets in 12 years. Beat that.
