I know this may seem ridiculous, but do you think looks can help you gain admittance into law school? This would obviously only apply to candidates who meet in person with adcomms.

However, it's widely known that good looking people are looked upon more favorably by others. The "Halo effect".

Its important to note that if you have no personality, are a dillhole or just rub any admissions committee member in the wrong way, your good looks wont help one bit.

I've only heard "bang out" used to refer to writing a paper quickly/badly. Banging (minus out) is sexytime.

Anyway, to get back on topic, being good looking probably won't help you get into law school, but it may help you get a job offer.

Being good looking won't help you get into law school. It might give you a small boost in getting an offer. Being bad looking will hurt getting an offer to the extent you'll have to go the extra mile to make sure you're impeccably presented in other regards (dress, etc).

Given that most schools don't do in-person interviews, I don't see how looks could make much of a difference. I did find, however, that good looking people got a boost in summer associate hiring and that unusually bad looking people were at a disadvantage.
