SMU application question
Once you apply to SMU through LSAC do you have to mail the certification letter to SMU? Thank you in advance.

Re: SMU application question
Are you talking about a Dean's Certification letter? Did I miss something when I applied electronically?

Re: SMU application question
I'm pretty sure that's only if you plan to pay for the application by check or money order. So if you paid electronically, then you're fine and don't need to mail that.

I didn't have to mail anything last year that I recall.

I think the Dean's cert may be required if you have to disclose any kind of disciplinary action/academic probation on the app. I didn't have to send it, and I'm too lazy to bring up the app and find out about it.

That sounds correct.

Re: SMU application question
It's not a Dean's cert. that he's asking about though, it's just a certification letter that you would include if you were paying by check or money order. So, don't worry about mailing the letter if you paid your app fee through LSAC.kalvano wrote:Marionberry wrote:I think the Dean's cert may be required if you have to disclose any kind of disciplinary action/academic probation on the app.

What if I was given a merit based fee waiver?
