Chinese GPA

Post by ThreeYears » Sun Oct 17, 2010 1:06 pm

Just got the LSAC foreign CAS report, my Chinese grade point average is shown as 83.2/100 with "above average" quality rating. My class rank was not reflected (11/112) on the report.

How is this gonna affect my application? Should I write an addendum to explain that Chinese grade are not based on curves?

Thank you so much for your input. Your previous experiences will be highly appreciated.

I remember reading this in a different forum, I think.

I didn't comment there, so I will here. I think addcoms deal enough with international students that they would know how to interpret you score. I would definitely put your class ranking on your app if there is a space for that, as 11 out of 112 might shine further than your 83.2/100, however I am confident they will know how to interpret the 83.2, so an addendum shouldn't be needed IMO.

Good luck!! :)

Put the actual numeric grade and the class rank on your resume along with honors.
