I'm trying to research this question and I was wondering if you all had any insight. Based off of LSN and anecdotal evidence it seems like for some schools, Columbia, for instance, applying ED does not necessarily significantly boost your admittance chances if your numbers are below median.
What schools does ed-ing boost admittance chances? I have heard anecdotally that UVA does, what about Michigan or Penn or any other schools that you all may have experience with - NU, Chicago etc.?
At what schools does ED-ing make a significant difference? Forum

From what I understand, UVA gives the biggest boost with ED. Penn, GULC, NU, and Mich also give a boost, although not as much as UVA.

MVP, NG
Basically ED doesn't help as much at CCN because they already have their pick of the non-HYS pool, while the above schools are fighting over the same 3.5-3.8 / 168-171 applicants.
