Parent Info on Application

Post by natural » Wed Oct 13, 2010 9:17 pm

If I was raised by family members other than my parents, should I list their information where my parents' information would otherwise be? Or should I be more literal and put down my parents' information anyway?

I think thats up to you. If you want to, you can designate that they are not your birth parents, but played the role of your parents (aunt/uncles, foster parents, etc.) I think putting down the people who raised you is what they are really looking for. I believe tat section is just to get a better idea of what your background was like. I dont think they really care WHO your parents were as much as they care how they lived and what effect they had on you.

That's what I was thinking as well, but I wanted to make sure. Thanks for your take on things.
