I applied to 9 schools last year for hypothetical entry in September 2010. I was accepted into all of them and received full ride scholarship offers at most. However, I decided NOT to attend law school this year, and am instead traveling/teaching abroad (I had done this from 2007-2009, but I had a unique opportunity and decided to spend one more year abroad before pursuing a long-term career in the States). I don't regret that choice, but I'm definitely ready to pursue my legal career starting in 2011.
My question, in two parts:
1) Are schools generally willing to readmit applicants who they previously admitted and who chose to delay law school?
2) Are these schools likely to extend similarly generous financial aid? They are mostly T2 and T3 schools...I have a 3.93/164, which is respectable but not shockingly good.
What do you think?

no one on here knows for sure whats going to happen. Call the schools you are seriously attending and explain to them what made you defer a year, and why you want to go there. If possible do this in person, and not over the phone. If you cant, then call and try to get a sense of how they would respond to your application ( take you, take you with money offered, or reject you).

Re: Reapplying?
I was accepted with a scholarship last year (although not full) and I couldn't go. I asked before withdrawing if they would consider me again, and they gave me a very positive answer. I don't expect that school to hold it against me this year. Your mileage will vary of course, depends on the school, and your reason.

Doesn't mean it's not sound advice.r6_philly wrote:You didn't answer any part of his/her question.rad law wrote:Retake LSAT or ED to UVA.
