Simple Application Question
Do schools see the common application? I'm asking because as I was trying to fill it out it gave me trouble. I rather just fill in each individual application for the schools I'm applying to anyway since I would just have to go through with a fine tooth comb if I relied on the common app. Also, the common application asks for some stuff none of my applications ask for.

I don't think so. They will just see the app and your attachments, the additional information form is for your use.

Re: Simple Application Question
The common app is just to make it easier to fill out the apps. You input info and then it tries to auto-fill out your regular apps as much as possible. It fails miserably a lot of the time so I had to double check and fix everything it did.
That being said, when you click submit, before you actually submit and pay for it, you get to preview the collated single PDF that contains your filled out application and all attachments (resume, PS, optional essays, addenda, etc) that will be sent to the school. This allows you to know exactly what the school gets.
