How Long for LSAC to Receive LOR Forum

Hey everybody,

How long does it usually take for a LOR to get to LSAC? My LORs were both sent last Thursday and still haven't shown up. Should I be worried or does it usually take more than a week to arrive and be processed by mail?

It can take up to 2 weeks for the letters to be processed after first arriving, so don't worry about it yet.

Yeah, I don't get why it's so random. I think they just dump them all in a huge kiddy pool and have a monkey pick out which ones to process every day.

The new lsac site states that they don't accept faxed LORs anymore. People calling to confirm have received mixed replies.

I think all of the people who did fax them did get them processed though.

Another reason to hate lsac.

For some reason my recommenders all just seemed to not want to use the fax machine.

Nah it was partially true. <3. I want to blame LSAC instead for insisting on becoming more and more annoying

I was fortunate, most my LORs were entered into the system with 3-7 days. If you haven't heard in anything by the point of week two, then I'd be concerned. Good luck this cycle.

This is not encouraging. I'm wondering if I should go back to my recommenders and have them fax the LORs. I really wanted to be applying this week.

You won't be at much of a disadvantage by applying in mid-September. You're still way ahead of most the pack.
