Why Duke...help
I hope this is the proper forum to post this in, but here it goes:
I have never written a why X essay before, and I was hoping to get some critic on my Why Duke addendum. I have looked at VanWinkles guide to them...but I still feel like mine misses the mark.
Any takers who are willing to take a look? Thank you!

I haven't written any "Why X" essays myself, but I'm generally good at critiquing content/grammar and would be glad to look over it. Just PM it to me!

Your best bet is to be Honest about why you are applying. If you really arn't interested then don't apply!crossingforHYS wrote:I hope this is the proper forum to post this in, but here it goes:

I was honest about why I'm applying...and I am interested. Even so, that doesnt mean that my addendum is good. There is a way to craft your answer that involves more then honesty. Thats why I'm asking for help...cavebat2000 wrote:Your best bet is to be Honest about why you are applying. I wrote a bunch of them with pretty good success. If you want to PM me, I'll happily take a look.

I'd be happy to take a look. I felt that my "Why Duke" essay was well written. Re: Why Duke...help
Just a general note- you don't need to write a "Why X" essay for the school you ED to, correct?

I am at Duke right now (2L, not a 1L). If you want me to take a look, let me know.
