T14 Shuffle
Just curious, does the T14 ever get rearranged, or does it always refer to the same schools? Can schools leapfrog another (like if UCLA or UT were to bump up to 13 or 14), or would even then Cornell and Georgetown at 15/16 be considered the T14?

The T14 has always been the T14. They move around inside the T14, but outsiders have never been in it. If one got bumped it is unsure if the T14 would include the new school or the old one.Ildeuce wrote:Just curious, does the T14 ever get rearranged, or does it always refer to the same schools? Re: T14 Shuffle
*Since USNWR started ranking law schools.
If somehow UCLA or UT or any other school managed to get into 14th or higher ranking there would be a ridiculous shitshow all over TLS and who knows what new acronym people would start using. However, the employment prospects (read: what really fucking matters) would not be that different from year to year. It would be just like when schools change from T1 to T2 or vice versa, people may be able to say "I go to a T1 now" but in reality it doesn't mean a god damn thing.

Most people I have spoken to who are not on TLS use T10 or T15.

Yah, never heard T15 before. I always hear either T10, T14, T20, or T25. Or more often (especially with people who are not law students), people just refer to a school as a "Top school", or a "good school", without adding the numbers.bilbobaggins wrote:Most people I have spoken to who are not on TLS use T10 or T15.

This is pretty irrelevant, but in 1987, UCLA was 14, and Cornell was 15Unitas wrote:The T14 has always been the T14. They move around inside the T14, but outsiders have never been in it.
