LSP says "Strong Consider" for whatever that's worth... also wrong forum as there is a "what are my chances" forum on here.

There were some acceptances to U Chicago with a 168 LSAT, 3.9 GPA this past cycle without ED. Also you "might" have a shot at Stanford with your numbers. If your heart is absolutely set on Chicago and you're willing to withdraw "all" of your other law school applications, then an ED would certainly strenghten your app, but your GPA is so strong, it's probably not necessary.

+1. Those numbers could get you into Stanford. If Chicago is your number #1 choice, and you are willing to give up what chance (even if small) you have at S, definitely ED, you will most likely get in.

With a regular application your chances are not certain.

i'm not sure what how much applying ED to chicago would help your chances of getting in. i agree with another poster that you should conisder retaking....just 2-3 more points could bring harvard into the "target" range with a 50/50 shot at getting in.
anway, with your current stats:
realistic reach:
yale, harvard, stanford, columbia, chicago

target:
berkeley, uva, penn

strong target:
nyu, mich, duke

safety:
cornell, georgetown

you could also apply to one other school outside the T14 to net a full scholarship somewhere just to have as an option.

oh god these retake answers are so annoying, especially when they're wrong

I agree with paralegal. do it if you're absolutely set on chicago and want to increase your chances any way possible
