So this is my situation..
I finished almost all of my coursework at a 4-year university with a 3.61 GPA this past spring..(with the exception of one stats course that I had yet to take).
I am in the middle of taking this stat course at a junior college, and the final is next week, but it looks like I won't be able to get anything higher than a B-/C+ in the class.
This would bring my LSDAS GPA down to 3.57 ( a fact that I was pretty much unaware of until now since I didn't know LSDAS would integrate that grade as well).
Now, here are my two options.
1) Take the C+/B- and take the hit on the GPA
2) Take an Incomplete in the course and retake another math course this fall and use that grade (which will hopefully be much higher) instead.
If I take the new course at a different junior college, can the incomplete hurt me at all or can I just not report it and basically pretend like it never happened?
Which option would you recommend? Thank you in advance.

One option: Send your transcripts now. Like, today.
Your 4 year college grades will be there and your stats class will show up as being "in progress" so LSAC won't worry about it. They will simply calculate your GPA from the classes you have completed. Most people appying straight out of UG don't have degrees awarded so they have credits "in progress" on their application transcripts: It certainly won't hurt you. Then, once you've made a decision about where you're going to attend, you'll need to send your complete transcripts to that school, but at that point, it won't matter. There is no rule that says you HAVE to update LSAC every time there is a change--they just need recent transcripts and ones that include grades from your most recent traditional semester should be just fine.

It is my understanding that incompletes are generally viewed as punitive if the classwork is not made up after a period of time. IF that's the case, your transcript will reflect that and the incomplete will be counted as an F. That's not advice I'd want to take.

I sent my transcripts at the end of last summer and at that point I had two semester of classes left. I never updated LSAC and it didn't effect my cycle at all. I was never asked for those grade. If ADCOMMs don't care about my entire last year they prob won't care about one class. HTH

As to what to do with the class, take the grade. First of all, your drop from 3.61 to 3.57 is not going to kill your chances, even if it is calculated.
The chances that schools will read your incomplete as an F is too great a risk.
Taking another math course sounds un-fun. And you won't necessarily do better enough to justify retaking.
