disiplinary issue

Post by crossingforHYS » Fri Jul 16, 2010 11:44 pm

j/w if you had a dispute in a club/school organization and was asked to leave the e-board position...does that count as a yes to the
"Have you ever been subject to disciplinary action for any reason in a college, university, graduate or Yes No
professional school you have attended" question?

Was it official, like in a Student Government position or something and the school asked you to step down or was it just inner club drama with people getting pissy and what not? Was there any paperwork?

clarification: I did not break any rules, it was drama about people and attitude ect. nothing about breaking any school rules.

I am also not putting it on my resume.

I think it depends on who asked you to leave. If you just did it because you thought it was the best course of action or because other students thought you should. I think you are fine.
If a school administrator asked you to leave, I would error on the safe side and disclose.
If it was a club sponsor I would lean toward it not being a problem.

Even if an admin asked you to step down, still would not have to disclose. That stuff is not written up in any reports at schools

So if there's no record of it, it's OK to not disclose.

Even if there is a record of it, not being the best Grand Pouba the Dorritos tasting club has ever had doesn't count as being disciplined at school. Intra-club politics =/= discipline.
