Evaluations with Transcripts?

Post by Hannibal » Fri Jul 16, 2010 2:16 pm

I went to a school which mandated that every grade have an accompanying evaluation by the professor. As one might expect, a lot of them are really bare bones and pretty much just list test scores, but others are pretty in-depth. Transcripts can come with these evaluations or not, when I chose to send it in I opted to include the evaluations.

Does anyone know if the LSAC would forward these evaluations along with the transcript?

I doubt it. They just do their report.

I thought LSAC sent your transcripts in addition to your report? In which case, I don't see why they would leave off the evaluations.

They may send transcripts. But if they do, why are the schools asking for transcripts when you decide to attend?

Possibly to see if you've taken additional classes since the LSAC report?

They want official undergrad transcripts. The same thing LSAC wanted.

LSAC reports include the academic summary and copies of the transcripts. Law schools request final transcripts sent directly to their office as proof of bachelor's degree conferral.

Well, that's stupid. Mine has final transcripts with it.

Still, the LSAC report only has photocopies of your transcripts. Your eventual law school will need an official signed sealed version from the registrar.
