By Lawschoolpredictor.com, they definitely did get harder pretty much across the board of the T20. (based on 2011 US News Rankings, so I'm not sure how helpful this actually is).
By the UGPA/LSAT index calculator offered by LSAC, seems to suggest the same thing.( but thats for the 2008-2009 cycle)
However, qualitative analysis on law school numbers, it seems people who wouldn't have gotten in 2007 were accepted during the 2009-2010 cycle. And if you look at the school's median LSATs for many schools, they actually decreased for the 2008-2009 cycle, dropping two points in some cases for T20 schools.
Plus, more people applied this year(7% more) and some T25 school says 25% increase in apps.
Even though this data seems to suggest both quantitatively and thru common sense that the standards have gone up(or that it is more competitive). I remain in the doubters camp about this actually being true for the 2009-2010 cycle.

I dont even understand what you are trying to say here... What does LSAT medians decreasing in 2008-2009 have to do with anything?? Are you saying you trust your "quantitative analysis" of the limited sample on LSN more than the numbers reported to USNWR??condorspread wrote:By Lawschoolpredictor.com, they definitely did get harder pretty much across the board of the T20. Last year was probably the hardest year to get accepted to law school. Tons more people took the LSAT, so there were many more qualified applicants to choose from. Schools reported anywhere from 5% -40% increases in applications from the previous year. Acceptance rates are going to be way down pretty much everywhere as well.

I got a pretty good gig last cycle, and I am hardly an impressive candidate, so it couldn't have been *all* that hard.

Flaw in reasoning: Cites an unrepresentative sample.Lonagan wrote:I got a pretty good gig last cycle, and I am hardly an impressive candidate, so it couldn't have been *all* that hard.
