Post by time_older » Mon Jul 05, 2010 11:05 am

From other topic, I know that the situation of test center may influence my score. Could some one can recommend some good center in NY city for me? Thank you!!!

Fordham Law test center was great.
Hofstra was Ok..very crowded, but no other issues.

OP, I'm not sure where in NYC you are planning on taking the test, but I took it twice at Queens College. Both experiences were good in terms of the proctors and comforable seating arrangements, etc. The first time (Oct 09), however, the sign in process was hugely disorganized and frustrating (a line that snaked around a huge room with people screaming at each other for cutting in line). The second time I took it there (Dec 09) they seemed to have fixed the situation and it was MUCH better.

Edit: Apologies, I neglected to mention that the two tests were taken in separate buildings. Dec 09 was the law school.

I'd stay away from the high school in brooklyn. the band was practicing.

I forget the name, but i was pretty sure it was the only high school on the list there.

But if it's your only choice, you have a pretty comfortable full-size desk.

LOL, this reminds me of my experience... the testing room was right by a break room and I could hear the TV from the break room blaring... I thought it was going to bother me but once the test started I just blocked it out.

Aside from the small desks in my particular room, Pace was great, small groups so you get out quicker and conveniently located near all the subways.

When I took it at Fordham in '08 we had those big long desks to work at, and a big red digital clock in the room. It was kind of fantastic.
