I've decided to really tone down on my number of schools that I'm applying to.

Never realized that even with fee waivers, you're still looking at a $12 processing fee. Doesn't sound like a lot, but with the schools that don't give you a waiver, and the $12 fees on all apps, it's gonna get pricey.

Before I was going to apply to every school that gave me a waiver and then some that it looked like I could get into as well. Now I'm going for all state schools that I'm interested in, only the fee waiver schools that I would truly consider going to, and maybe some schools out of state that I would be really glad to go to (note: would take a lot to get me out of state due to all family and friends. If you're supposed to go to school in the state that you want to practice in, then long term this has to be consider).

Sorry I'm airing my thoughts, but meh..."THOUGHTS"? :D

Has anyone with a below 3.7-3.8 GPA gotten a waiver from Penn? I feel like they're screening GPAs more heavily.

I got a waiver from NYU but no love from Penn, and I'm EDing!

My GPA is in that range, 170 LSAT and I haven't gotten a waiver from NYU or Penn. I think I'm going to email them tomorrow, I will let you know if I have any success.

I have fee waivers from most of their peers (All T14 minus HYS and Cornell), so I was hoping for a one.
I recieved an e-mail from them yesterday, but no fee waiver.

And I've recieved fee waivers from about every good school that gives them out, so I'm guessing Berkeley doesn't. I'm not completely sure, though.

Berkeley doesn't give merit waivers, per their website. They and HYS are the only T14 schools who don't.

Has anyone received an unsolicited fee waiver from Loyola or else requested/received it? I e-mailed them back in August and they said they start giving them out in October, but I don't know if that means by solicitation/hidden waivers/unsolicited e-mails...

I emailed them awhile ago and they told me they would start sending out CRS waivers after the Oct LSAT. I just assumed they meant after the scores are in (maybe they were hoping to do just like one round of CRS searches and figured after Oct LSAT was the best time).

I received an email saying I had a waiver waiting for me if I attended a law school fair. The instructions were to show them the email and they'd give me one.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to make the fair but have since emailed to try to get one and haven't received a response.

I received one from Loyola and Chapman after attending the LSAC Forum in LA on Sept. 25th. Also got Oregon from that as well.

Just received an email from USC notifying me of my USC fee waiver and telling me they'll be sending a viewbook to my address. Very nice.
