Same score and fee waivers as both of you plus Denver. MA resident. Come on GULC, send something my way!snapdragon wrote:I got the exact same as you, also 167 and live in CT.Snoring Meatball wrote:Here's what I've gotten:
Cincinnati 6/29
Richmond 6/29
Seton Hall 6/29
George Mason 7/1 (by U.S. mail)
Minnesota 7/7
167 for now and I live in VA
The George Mason one was very aesthetically pleasing. It lives on my fridge now.

"I invite you to apply for Fall 2011 admission. Although this invitation does not guarantee admission, we feel that your obvious academic talent and background would make a positive contribution to the intellectual dialogue at the Law Center. Due to our belief in your potential, your application fee has been waived as well."

I just registered for CRS yesterday when I found this forum...does anyone know if they'll continue to send out fee waivers even after they send it out to the initial wave of people? Or if I signed up too late?

Same here. They are ranked #1 for Trial Advocacy which I'm really interested in. I just sent an email requesting a fee waiver.Ildeuce wrote:Informational e-mail from Stetson...

Re: Application Fee Waivers - Fall 2011 Applicants
k this is my first post, i hope im doing it right.
I got Gtown today, and was wicked excited about that, then i realized they're whorin themselves around.
Anyway I was wondering if anyone's been contacting schools to request fee waivers (not including the ones that have been sending emails based on LSAC info) I was thinking I might be able to do that with my safe schools by parading my LSAT score around like the moms do on "Toddlers and Tiara's," that's basically how I'm feeling right now it's totally perverse.
Anyway who's got my insights?????

I was thinking the same thing... how do you go about asking for them too? Do you say "XX law school has always been a school I've hoped to attend..." or is that disingenuous since they'll know you're probably telling that to a lot of schools?J.Straw from Wichita wrote:k this is my first post, i hope im doing it right.

Not that we shouldn't have our own discussion here, but if you look at the 2009-2010 Fee Waiver Thread, here: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... fee+waiver, there is a lot of discussion about requesting them (based on merit) from schools. It may give you some ideas if you decide to do so.

Re: Application Fee Waivers - Fall 2011 Applicants
Oh god, that thread is 103 pages long. I would rather read new responses here, so yeah, again: how to phrase a fee waiver request? There are schools that are super-safe for me, like Tulane and CU-Boulder that I want to apply to nonetheless because I'd be so down to live in those areas, esp. w/ full ride. What's a good way to point this out to adm. offices without sounding like a pompous prick? Has anyone done this before?

Georgetown, UPenn, Northwestern (straight out of undergrad), NYU are my goals, but obviously those are stretches right now. I'm retaking to that end. Those or somewhere in the top 20-25 with a lot of money. I'm expecting a 172+ on my retake though.Ildeuce wrote:My #'s are almost identical, just a slightly higher GPA... what're your targets?Rudy wrote:Damnit I want Georgetown, but nothing here.
3.77/168- Whitey.
Minnesota, Seton Hall, George Mason, Cincinatti, maybe others I completely ignored in addition to all of these but the first.

Do they see our actual GPA through LSAC, or just that we put 3.75+/Mostly A's?

LSAC didn't recieve my transcript yet, and I've recieved 4 waivers so they must just be looking at the 3.75 (or going by the LSAT alone.)Ildeuce wrote:Do they see our actual GPA through LSAC, or just that we put 3.75+/Mostly A's?

I've received several letters with my exact LSAC GPA mentioned, so they can definitely see it.
