Re: What is considered early?
To me early is once they start taking applications. Being one of the first people to be seen will be an advantage. Applying December or later I would imagine to be a disadvantage. In between would probably be a push. That is just my personal speculation though..I do not have data to back it up.Knockglock wrote:Everyone says apply early, what time period exactly is considered early?

Re: What is considered early?
Unforatuntely, my school doesn't start until late September (last week or two). I've already talked to my 2 professors for LOR. Gonna send them a little packet in the next couple of weeks, but I'm guessing the earliest I can get my LOR's in will be early October. Assuming that these are the last things keeping me from being complete, will I be nice and early with early-middle October submissions?PlugInBaby wrote:To me early is once they start taking applications. Re: What is considered early?
I'd be less lenient. I'd say:
Ideal- By the end of October
Okay, could have been earlier but wont hurt too much - By the end of November
Late, will hurt a bit - After Christmas break

Don't understimate how long it takes LORs to come complete but if all is complete in mid-October it wouldn't be that awful. I doubt you would get the boost you would get as if you were one of the first ones. On the other hand you certainly won't be penalized.Knockglock wrote:Unforatuntely, my school doesn't start until late September (last week or two). I've already talked to my 2 professors for LOR.
