"I'm writing primarily to express my continued interest in ________, and inform your office that I plan to remain on the waitlist for the duration of the summer. While I am certain there are many qualified candidates who have chosen do the same..."

And then wrap yourself up in one paragraph. All your qualities, all you'll bring to the school, how much the school means to you, and why it's a great fit. Then cross your fingers, I guess.

Good luck.

Edit: If you have anything new to report, even something nominal like a scholarship app or new assignment at work, then obviously include that too.

"Dear XXX School Of Law -

I am writing for a second time to express my deep commitment to XXX School of Law. I feel I would be an excellent candidate for your program, and I plan to remain on the waitlist in the hopes that the admissions committee will see fit to grant me acceptance.

I understand you receive thousands of applications, and not everyone can be admitted, but I feel I would thrive in your program. Because of my experiences in xxxxxx, I offer a diverse and unique viewpoint to the classroom.

In addition, I am a super special snowflake because of....

Also, as I previously mentioned, this is my second letter of interest. As my first letter went unacknowledged, I feel this time I need to offer more incentive for you as a school. Therefore, I would very much appreciate a decision by xx/xx/2010, or I feel further steps will be necessary. Are you familiar with the term "tactical nuclear weapon"?

Regards,

Special Snowflake, Esq."
