WIN OVER THE ADMISSIONS COUNSELORS

Post by GIBilled » Mon May 24, 2010 10:12 pm

Went complete to a top100 (90-100) and been in review since 1/27.

Sent a follow up e-mail today...

"I would just like to thank you for eating my application fee. You guys must be working real hard over there for it to sit "in review" for 4 months. Maybe I should be applying for an admissions counselor position instead of a juris doctor."

 Now that should get me in!

The application process is really a scam. These school just gobble up tons of fees, and probably don't even look at the majority of the applications. They should have to refund your fee if they do not look at the application within 2 months.

IMO, you deserve it if you apply to schools that are outside your range.

People that apply to HYS because "you never know" deserve to lose their money.

I can't wait to know what they say. You better post the decision. Personally, I'm hoping whoever read your message cracked a smile and said 'fuck it, let's throw the dog a bone'...

I dunno, I applied completely on a whim, thinking it was an impossibility, and now I'm in at HLS.

I was accepted to a school higher on my list.

I paid good money to have my application reviewed in a timely manner. I can think of much better ways to throw away money than this.

After my e-mail, it took two days for the letter to travel iver 4,000 miles. Guess they couldn't notify me fast enough that I would not be attending their school in the fall. LOL

Is the school in question Chapman? They've been pretty terrible with responses this cycle.

That's OK, wasn't planning on attending.

Arizona State got back to me a few weeks ago. I've literally had my app in for over 5 months.

Am I allowed to hate you for using literally superfluously, even if it wasn't an incorrect usage like I often see?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
