So my professor has agreed to write me a LOR.
I've read several posts here that I should give a stamped envelope to my professor (addressed to LSAC, addressed from my professor's office address).
Has anyone else actually done this? Is this the polite thing to do?
It's my first time sending something via the postal office, so I'm kind of having a difficult time.
I just went to the postal office today, picked up the large A4-size Priority Mail envelope.
I plan to buy the stamp, put it on the envelope, and give it to my professor. Is this the correct way?
I'll really appreciate any insights.
Thanks!

Yes, that's the polite way to do it. You want to make it as easy for them as possible.
Just be 100% SURE that you have enough/the right postage for what they'll be mailing. I would also give them LSAC's fax number, too, because they may wish to just fax it instead. LSAC tends to process faxed letters more quickly and you can get confirmation of receipt that way.
Give them the choice, though.

I did. Just tell them the process. I think another way of doing this is having the LOR writer sign across the flap and give to you so you can send for them.

Kiersten1985,
Thanks for your reply.
I wasn't aware that fax was a valid way to send LORs to LSAC. Does the LSAC state that fax is OK? (that would make life so much easier).

Yes, they accept faxes. I ended up faxing a couple of mine because I wanted them in faster. I don't have the number, but it's in these forums a thousand times. If you do a quick search, you'll find it.

Oh ok thanks.
I'm applying in October, so I'm not in a terrible rush. But I'll be sure to fax if a problem occurs later on. Thanks =)
