Sending in SAT & GMAT Score to Law Schools?
I did well on the SAT's (800 Math, 760 Critical Reading, 720 Writing) and I'm taking the GMAT this summer.
Would it help to send law schools my other scores too?

Re: Sending in SAT & GMAT Score to Law Schools?
short answer is no. GMAT is SAT's on Roids, the LSAT is a different skill set that only has the reading comprehension in common with the GMAT and SAT, so unless you are applying to a JD/MBA program the GMAT is useless and the SAT is pointless regardless. In fact the GMAT may actually be detrimental to your cause because it indicates that you may not be all that serious about law...Good Luck

Um...put nicely..
No one cares about SAT's after first year in college. Period.
Refrain from sending said scores.
Oh and the GMAT is cake, so I doubt that will put you in a more favorable position in their eyes.

ABSOLUTELY.
While you are at it, send your PSAT and your HSPT scores. Those will be very helpful as well.

I sent my IQ score and the Free Personality Test assessment that I got from the local Scientology recruiter. I think anything like that helps separate you from the pack.

Damn, existenz! I should have sent in the personality test. Though, I did send in my career aptitude test that showed that law is the best career for me. It was super convincing.existenz wrote:I sent my IQ score and the Free Personality Test assessment that I got from the local Scientology recruiter. Oh god, I feel old looking at that SAT score.Dr. Strangelove wrote:I did well on the SAT's (800 Math, 760 Critical Reading, 720 Writing) and I'm taking the GMAT this summer.

Also, calm down everyone.
But it is a very bad idea to send in this stuff (unless the GMAT for a JD/MBA program).
Personally, I'd think the admissions committee would look on a student reporting their SAT scores as a sort of immature move that indicates the student might be stuck in high school in some way. Not saying you are, because you're just thinking about it but....HS was at least 4 years ago for almost every applicant, and more than that for many.

Never seen that before. Took the SSAT and some Catholic one when I was applying.JessicaTiger wrote:http://lmgtfy.com/?q=HSPTredsox wrote:HSPT?

Yeah, failing to send my career aptitude test (CAT) score is probably what kept me out of the T8. With the recent increase in apps and the resulting competition, I'd say sending more is always better.JessicaTiger wrote:Damn, existenz! I should have sent in the personality test. There are limits though. Sending something from elementary or middle school showing that you were reading 8th grade level in 5th grade probably wouldn't help.

Credited. LS expects you to have been reading at a 10th grade level then.existenz wrote:Yeah, failing to send my career aptitude test (CAT) score is probably what kept me out of the T8. This, plus I wouldn't want them to wonder why I wasn't skipping grades if I was so advanced. Might raise more questions than answers.JessicaTiger wrote:Credited. LS expects you to have been reading at a 10th grade level then.

I sent in my love tester results, with an addendum explaining why I was only "Passionate" and not "Hot Stuff".
