USD vs Chapman $$$ Forum

Hi, this is my first post here on TLS. I am currently in a dilemma and desperately seeking advice regarding which school would be a better chocie.

I have been accepted to University of San Diego and Chapman. Chapman has given me a very generous scholarship worth 80% of the tuition; however, USD is considerably higher in rank, which would open up BigLaw possibilities. I would like to work in Orange County eventually, which may or may not be relevant to this decision. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I would love to go to USD. However, take the $$$.

Chapman. They are up and coming and will be really helpful when getting an OC job.

Take the scholarship at Chapman. It's a good school located in the region where you ultimately want to work. Big Law may not be a strong possibility from Chapman, but it probably wasn't a strong possibility from USD either.

Take the scholarship hands down. USD is a good school too but is not going to offer you much of a chance at big law either. You got to go to USC/UCLA/Stanford/Boalt for that.
