LOR issue

Post by misc » Fri Apr 30, 2010 8:57 pm

I'm trying to identify professors who could potentially write LORs for me and there is only one that I know well on a personal level. I've taken a couple of classes with her in the past and I think she would write a great LOR. However, both of those classes were not related to my major and were not upper-level courses. On a course numbering scale of 100 to 600, they were in the 300s. Do you think this could detract from how her LOR is viewed? I'm just concerned that universities will perhaps look down upon it because I didn't take major-related or advanced courses with her.

I don't think it will detract at all.
