3.47 with a few concerns!
GPA: LSAC 3.47 (3.59) (I did fail one class and got a D in another..both soph. year; hopefully that wont hurt me )
LSAT: Practice exams ranging from 169-174
Great Softs: tons of organizations afiliated with, volunteer work, 1 year of full time work, former D-1 Football player
Great LOR
URM
Want to practice in Southern Cali, graduating law school with the least amount of debt is the goal, big law is my target
Applying to UCLA,USC,Pepperdine, Loyola, USD, UCI, Chapman, Northwestern, GT, George Wash, Miami, Arizona State, U of Arizona, University of Washington Law. a few more t-14s maybe.
What do you guys think?
Thanks

I hope that you are admitted to all of your listed law schools, but without an actual LSAT score it is difficult to offer any opinion regarding your chances of admission. It might be worthwhile to note that you are only interested in playing for the law school faculty's flag football team unless, of course, if the admissions committee has its own team.

Your list looks like you just pointed your finger at a list closed your eyes and said this is where I'm applying. What region do you want to work in? And I don't think anyone can really give you advice as a URM bcuz you don't have an LSAT.

if my LSAT is around where my practice exams have been do you think those two grades will affect their decisions?

If you score an LSAT within your practice range, and above 170, you should have your pick of law schools, I'd guess.FranchiZe48 wrote:if my LSAT is around where my practice exams have been do you think those two grades will affect their decisions?

Assuming you can replicate your success on the real LSAT, I think you need to throw in a few more T14s.

for a URM with your gpa getting a 169 or a 174 is the difference between getting a few lower to mid T-14s and getting $$. (This is of course assuming the rest of your application does not resemble that of a 3rd grader)

If you hit your LSAT, you should get money from USC and UCLA as a URM. That would satisfy pretty much all the goals you stated: socal, biglaw, small debt.

do you think my slip ups with those two bad grades will overall affect my admissions to these schools?

It's wise to remember that practice LSAT test scores are the equivalent of a home schooled student's teacher recommendation.

DF is credited.
If you can score in the upper-160 lower-170 range, you can crumple that list of schools up and throw it in the garbage. You will be looking at T14s with money. 170s could probably get you T6, although the GPA may hurt you.
