In at Yale, WL at Harvard What do I do?
Hey guys. Long time lurker but this is my first time posting. I was excited to get into Yale but my dream school has always been Harvard. I really don't know what to do now. Do I try again next cycle or just go to Yale this year and try and transfer?
I really don't know what to do. I assume its easier to transfer to Harvard after a year at Yale since its ranked higher but I really have no idea.

OMG.... This post is not happening. Who takes a year off after they get into Yale? Ever thought that it was just meant to be and you would be a lot happier at Yale? If I could hit you I would. I just want one punch. Just one...YSS wrote:Hey guys. Long time lurker but this is my first time posting. I was excited to get into Yale but my dream school has always been Harvard. What were your numbers and softs? And why is Harvard your dream school?

Yes, you should try to get off the waitlist at Harvard. If that doesn't work, wait for another year and apply to Harvard only, because no other school is worth your 2 cents.

In case this isn't a flame- if you're good enough to get into Yale and a WL at Harvard, then you'll get into Harvard next cycle if you can substantially improve something about your overall application (perfect score on the LSAT, cure cancer, etc. etc.). I've also heard that some schools let you do a non-binding deferral, so perhaps you could do this with Yale and reapply next cycle? If Harvard is your dream school and you're this close to your dream, I see no reason to settle.
Just my two cents.

This person is very very dumbo. I do no know if he is crazy or derange or just try to make us go crazy and so he post this imbecile blabbering rumination of a wayward soul. The only redemption I see here is that this is a potential flamer. If we notice the assigned name, she call herself "YSS," which can only mean the one thing: Y So Stupid?YSS wrote:Hey guys. 1) Go to Yale
2) Sue Harvard Law
3) Force Harvard to admit you

It is obvious you have no heard of the sovereign immunities. Harvard is King. She cannot be sued.cardnal124 wrote:1) Go to Yale

- worked with WHO and aids victims in Lesotho for 2 yrs
People have always told me that I'm too smart not to be at Harvard and I kinda don't want to prove them wrong. Plus I don't really want to be in law all my life. I'm hoping to get into politics or work more in the public sector/government. Harvard seems particularly strong there because of their vast alumni network.
