and reapply next for next cycle. Any advice for how to make the best use of my time? Aside from studying much more for the test, should I get a job doing whatever I can, or try and work with a non profit? Travel abroad? Take some sort of classes? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, especially ones from personal experience.

You're probably not getting much help because this is something that you have to think about for yourself. Really, whatever interests you most, or you think you'll benefit from most, you should do.

Maybe if you researched some options and narrowed it down to 2-3, people might be more likely to weigh in.
