I have spoken with three people in the last two days about being writers of LORs for me. Most of them know my very well, and one I have worked closely with both inside the classroom as well as on educational modules being used across the US. All of them have asked me if there is anything I would like them to touch base on, or anything specific I would like them to mention, or even a quality I would like highlighted. ... is this normal?
What did you ask for? Did you ask for anything, or just let them do their own thing? Did you see the letters before they submitted them?

Give them your personal statement and relevant info to show them the picture you are trying to paint. Let them fill it in what they think is important to it, after you give them an idea of what you are trying to get across. You can paint it for them and let them put it into their words.
This is what I have heard from people on here..

I hadn't quite thought of that. Thank you!Unitas wrote:Give them your personal statement and relevant info to show them the picture you are trying to paint.
