My guess: If it is a YP waitlist and you are accepted upon showing enough interest, then yes possibly. If it is a serious reach and you are a last minute acceptance, then probably not.

Good question I was wondering about this today. I am currently riding a waiting list and don't know if I should send in a LOCI because I have come to the conclusion that I will not attend at sticker.
Planning on calling the school tomorrow to inquire about this.

Re: Do waistlist turned accepted ever get scholarship offers?
I am starting an Official TLS Waitlisted to Accepted 2010 thread in the Admissions, Denials and Waitlisted thread so we can discuss this in greater detail as people come off the waitlist. For the record people do get money off of the waitlist. I saw that last year people in another thread claimed it was so. This seems to work for splitters. If their GPA numbers do not reach their target median then they get desperate and start plucking splitters from the waitlist. Rather than have to fill the slot at the last minute with someone else they may be open to a negotiation of some money. Probably not a full ride, but every little bit helps.
