Waiting to hear from NYU??? Forum

Am I the only one that has not heard a PEEP from nyu? Any idea whats going on? When will they get back to us! I applied at the end of November!

Dec. app, haven't heard anything. My best guess is that they're either really behind or they're holding off on ppl till the scholly deadline passes.

Yeah, I applied in, like, 1993 or something and I am still waiting. I wish they had a status checker so I could check twice a day.

I'm in the same boat, and I agree, it's very obnoxious. At least one school I'm considering has a deposit deadline coming up within two weeks. Here's hoping that NYU would at least have the decency to reject me by then.

Same here. Applied late Nov, and complete mid December. Not a word. I'm with this guy:

Same here. Applied mid-Oct with what I thought were competitive numbers (multiple LSAT scores though).

I'm a little concerned, because the LSAC UGPA/LSAT calculator said that I had like 95% chance of getting in...

Haven't heard either and I have 176 for LSAT and pretty high for GPA. In at CLS but nothing from NYU. Rather strange. I guess this also means no merit money at all?

Deadline for scholarships is tomorrow unless you got an extension (which I doubt pretty much anyone who doesn't read TLS requested), so most scholarship people will be depositing or withdrawing tomorrow. By extension, that means a bunch of decisions next week.

Applied in mid-October, and haven't heard a peep. I'm pretty resigned to a rejection, but I would LOVE an acceptance. I got into Chicago, which is pretty sweet, but NYU offers me so much more. It is close to my home, so I could commute and avoid paying for housing. This would make it so I could attend at sticker price without going quite as much into debt. Plus, my girlfriend works in NYC so I would rather stay there than go to Chicago. Everything would work out so damn well for me if they let me in. Hope it happens, though I wouldn't put any money on it.

Yep. Applied in mid November. Sent a why statement in January and a LOCI about 3 weeks ago. Still nothing.

Applied in mid-November. In mid-January the sent me an email saying they'd begun their preliminary review of my application and requesting my Fall 2009 grades. I not only sent the grades, but I sent a why letter and a LOCI. Still haven't heard a damn thing.

this is so weird, I got an answer 2 weeks after being complete (applied in Jan) and I didn't have a perfect LSAT by any means. (not automatic reject either)
