Withdrawing from waitlist

Post by Me-a Culpa » Mon Mar 29, 2010 3:57 pm

Is it necessary to withdraw from the waitlist? Also, is an email acceptable? I'm sure this has been asked and answered, but I'm too lazy to search…. Thanks

It's not necessary, as in something you HAVE to do. It is something that would probably be appreciated by admissions and the other students still on the waitlist. An email is perfectly acceptable, and probably preferred.

Thanks! I figured waitlisting me was a sympathetic method of rejection, so it was unnecessary.

I'd like to send an F-you letter to a school that rejected me, but I suppose I'll let it go.
