Can schools see where you deposited at this point?

Post by Xiaolong » Thu Mar 25, 2010 8:52 am

Do schools get notified, or do they have another way of knowing whether or not you have put down a deposit at a school?

I am asking because I am still waiting to hear from some schools re scholarship. Unortunately however the deposit deadline for my current first choice is also coming up (although the deposit is refundable until a certain date). In a nutshell, I don't want to ruin my chances for merit aid by putting down a deposit now.

I am pretty sure they can't. But not 100% sure.

it was always my understanding that they can see your second deposit, but not your first.
