School sets up e-mail account before gaining admission?

Post by sequence » Tue Mar 16, 2010 7:13 pm

My spouse hasn't been accepted to Maine yet, but was e-mailed about how to set up their Maine e-mail account.

Is this a common occurrence, or does it mean they were granted admission and their status checker just hasn't updated yet?

Thanks in advance.

This happens at a lot of schools. I think that they use the schools registration system to track applicants. So, it doesn't mean anything necessarily. I don't know about that school in particular though.
