Advice on getting off Vandys waitlist?
I am set on Vanderbilt as my first choice law school. Unfortunately though I am on the waitlist. Anyone have any advice on how best to get off the waitlist?

Visit (if feasible), write a LOCI, and consider retaking the LSAT in June if you think you can improve by a few points.Xiaolong wrote:I am set on Vanderbilt as my first choice law school. Unfortunately though I am on the waitlist. Anyone have any advice on how best to get off the waitlist?

Also keep your grades up and send in your fall/spring transcripts.Richie Tenenbaum wrote:Visit (if feasible), write a LOCI, and consider retaking the LSAT in June if you think you can improve by a few points.Xiaolong wrote:I am set on Vanderbilt as my first choice law school. I am out of undergrad a couple of years already, can't visit because abroad, and under no circumstances will I retake the LSAT. So I guess I will just send a LOCI every month.

Find out when their deposit deadlines are (there are usually two), and send in your LOCIs right after those, because that's when offers from the WL, if any, will be made.Xiaolong wrote:im_blue wrote:Also keep your grades up and send in your fall/spring transcripts.Richie Tenenbaum wrote:Visit (if feasible), write a LOCI, and consider retaking the LSAT in June if you think you can improve by a few points.Xiaolong wrote:I am set on Vanderbilt as my first choice law school. 1. Write and perform a country music album that sells 1 million copies.
2. Perform at Grand Ol' Opry and get nominated into country music hall of fame.
3. Use your experience to write a fantastic "Why Vandy/Nashville" addendum.
Better get started. You've got a lot to do in the next few months.

If I could pull that off, I wouldn't be going to law school. Maybe I'd have my own law school though.MrKappus wrote:1. Write and perform a country music album that sells 1 million copies.
