LOR from Parole Officer. Any cons? Forum

This person would certainly not be hurt any more by such a letter than by the felony convictions. The letter won't be able to speak much to the person's academic qualifications, but it would help assuage any doubts the adcomm may have about his character. It would also be fairly unique and ballsy. If I were in this person's position, I'd do it, but I'd also secure two academic letters from my undergrad institution, if feasible.
