So I was confirming FASFA codes on their website and then I saw this:
University of Florida
Graduation Rate: 82%
Retention Rate: 95%
Transfer Rate: 6%
INDIANA UNIVERSITY-BLOOMINGTON
FRANKLIN HALL 208 FIN AID OFFICE
BLOOMINGTON
Federal School Code: 001809
Graduation Rate: 73%
Retention Rate: 90%
Transfer Rate: 0%
etc
So. If we have a 95% retention rate but only 82% graduate... doesn't that mean 13% of students failed ? Everyone on here says it is not really possible to fail out of law school because of the curve, seems the numbers say otherwise. Thoughts, it there something I'm missing?

I think those are undergrad stats, but don't quote me on it.

You're not accounting for people who don't like law school/aren't succeeding and choose to drop out.

This is definitely not true for TTTs that fail out a substantial portion of their classes just to keep their bar passage rate high enough for ABA accreditation.gwuorbust wrote:Everyone on here says it is not really possible to fail out of law school because of the curve, seems the numbers say otherwise.
