Vandy already has better stats then Cornell. Is it possible that it could do better than a school that it is already doing better than? Sure, I guess that's possible.

As long as we're picking on Cornell here, there are already 5 non-T14's with better medians than 3.63/167:
UCLA (3.75/168), Vandy (3.71/168), GWU FT (3.76/167), UT (3.71/167), and WUSTL (3.70/167). USC (3.60/167) is very close as well. But we can't put 20 schools in the T14, can we?

Well #1, we can - if US News can put 12 schools in the top 10, we could certainly put 20 in the top 14.
#2, we could at least start with those schools that clearly beat Cornell in both LSAT and GPA, UCLA and Vandy.
#3 I think this will actually happen if the NYC market doesn't recover.

I would guess that it gets a solid boost in lawyer and judge scores. They view it as a perennial T14+Ivy, they give it reviews that are probably higher than it might otherwise get.
