The Deep End
Anyone else totally hooked on the new tv show about 1st year associates in LA?
Obviously your first year in big law will be nothing like the show whatsoever, but I still think it's highly entertaining.

Same trash, different setting. And the death of TV continues... At least its not a reality show.

Never seen it-but I'm guessing it's 24/grey's anatomy/oc/etc, except in a law firm setting. Network tv sucks. Only watch HBO, some fox news, cnbc, and sports.

FoxNews is the #1 rated cable news channel for past ten years.Kilpatrick wrote:That pretty much discredits all your opinions about televisionMaineCourse wrote:Never seen it-but I'm guessing it's 24/grey's anatomy/oc/etc, except in a law firm setting. LOL @ you for mistaking high ratings for quality programming.

That's because Fox News is the only news channel that caters strictly to conservatives. Liberals have other options.
I agree tv sucks though. I only watch PBS, especially now that Conan's gone for the foreseeable future...

The Deep End is like a train wreck. It's horrible but I just can't stop watching it.

How is 24 like grey's anatomy or the OC? Yeah, it can be dramatic, but they blow shit up and shoot people constantly! That makes for good network television IMO.MaineCourse wrote:Never seen it-but I'm guessing it's 24/grey's anatomy/oc/etc, except in a law firm setting. Network tv sucks. Actually ABC said "they have not made a decision." It is certain to be cancelled, it is the worst show on television at the moment.jetlagz28 wrote:Its already canceled according to Wikipedia
Edit: it is telling that they never aired the last episode of the season.

Re: The Deep End
To my knowledge, the last episode was aired. It had a 6 episode contract with the season finale being the house function episode.
I was completely hooked on it. I admit, I only watch trashy TV: Grey's Anatomy, How I Met Your Mother, The Deep End, and The Amazing Race.
P.S. Just read about the existence of a 7th episode that was not given a timeslot. Still, I do not believe ABC will give it time. The Deep End's last episode will go the way of the 7 unaired Time of Your Life episodes.

I've watched every episode. It is terrible in every facet of its conception and execution.

Re: The Deep End
Good point-24 is actually a pretty good show. I was just trying to make the point that network tv generally sucks, and since I don't watch network TV could only think of a couple shows. However, from what I've heard 24 is not one of those shows which suck.DukeHopeful wrote:How is 24 like grey's anatomy or the OC?
