My dream school has not answered me.
My numbers are definitely low for this school
I am currently undergrad there and since sophomore year I been meeting with
admission officers and even worked at law school
My application went complete first week of Nov and the admiss officer said
I would know the decision by the end of Jan but I still haven't heard
every two-three weeks I stopped by
now they know me by name and they know that more than anywhere I am intrested here.
However when I went into law school numbers and checked out this schools' past trends
people who applied by OCT got their decisions by first week of Feb.
I am beginning to worry and think my application was in the pool for that long to be rejected...
is it a usually a good or bad thing if the app did not get the decision for so long?
and why would it be taking so long...?
applied in Oct, haven't heard yet..good thing? bad thing? Forum

It's better to get a slow yes, than a fast no. If you haven't heard anything yet, then you are still being considered (thats what admissions says at Washington and Lee)... good luck

I applied to a few schools recently, but I am still waiting to hear from 4 schools I applied to on October 30th, and about an hour ago I got an email on my phone from a name I had not yet encountered with an attachment symbol and "Scho" in the subject section. It turned out to be from Phoenix Law.

Do people feel it is appropriate to call schools that have not yet rendered a decision during the first week of April and say something like: I am very interested in attending "name of school," but I have been accepted to "name of school," which has a seat deposit due on April 15th, and so I want to check on the status of my application.

To op: it really depends on the school. If it is WUSTL, William & Mary, or UCI, then it is most likely a bad thing.
If it is UVA, UCLA, or a myriad of other schools, it is most likely a good to bad thing - they are probably deciding between WL/Reject or Accept/WL.
