American University Acceptance/Rejection Letter Forum

Hi. I am currently off campus and I got an email from the mail at my school saying that they had a USPS package arrive from American University. I checked the online status checker and it says that the decision was made and that I would recieve it in the mail. Unfortunately, I am going crazy because I wont be able to retrieve it until Monday and American was one of my top choices. I know that this is probably a good sign because I have heard that rejection letters never come in USPS packages but I am still really nervous. Does anyone have any comments? Does anyone know how a rejection letter from AU comes as in the mail? Thank you.

not sure. but acceptances do. I highly doubt they would put that much effort into a rejection..

I am pretty sure that on the acceptances/denials thread, people have said rejections come in a slim white envelope. The reason the acceptance letters are so big is that they come in a folder.

So denials have possibly come in large white folders? I am out of town and my package has been waiting for me for a week and I won't be able to get to it for a little while longer- the anticipation is killing me!

Its ok I was able to get back into town and finally open it. DEFINITELY an acceptance! SO excited!
