Hi, I am planning to send an additional LOR to help with my deferral situation...the trouble is that my referee is teaching in Asia this semester, so it would be quite a hassle just to get the LSAC LOR form to him...if I wanted him to send the letter directly to HLS, what info besides my LSAC number should he include on the letter, is there a specific format he should follow in order to help the school identify me without going through LSAC?
many cheers!
AC.

Harvard requires LORs to be sent through LSAC. You should fax the LSAC LOR form to your recommender in Asia, then have them fax it to LSAC.

hey blue, thanks for the speed reply, but I need my signature on the LSAC LOR form too right? would faxing be okay? how about just scanning it?im_blue wrote:Harvard requires LORs to be sent through LSAC. You should fax the LSAC LOR form to your recommender in Asia, then have them fax it to LSAC.

Print the LOR form, sign it and scan it then email it your recommender. (S)he can fax the LOR directly to LSAC or email it back to you so you fax it yourself. Either way, (s)he would get an email from LSAC to confirm the authenticity of the letter.
