What's up with Northwestern? Forum

I applied in very early January and have not heard a peep from them. Not even an application received mail, let alone status checker information or a complete mail. I am starting to worry they lost my app? Anyone else in the same boat?

The day I applied (Dec. 30), I got an email about the online status checker. You didn't get that?

Since then, I've not heard anything from them and they seem to be moving very slowly.

I got my status checker email automatically, but I think some people on the Northwestern thread said they didn't. Try requesting it here:

they gave me one within 2 days. applied late january.

I had to ask for my status checker many months after applying. Very sporadic.

Also, expect to wait a while. I applied in early November and only heard last week.

They also sent me a Valentine's e-card.

I applied in mid-November and only hear last week too. The Valentine's Day e-mail was nice, and not creepy. They might be a bit slower than other schools: their RD's do seem to come out later than many other top schools.

Last year, people who applied in late December got their decision mid/late March. Do you guys think this year will be the same or are there even more delays?
