Application in Review . . . How long? Forum

How long do these usually last? My application at one particular school has been in review for over 3 weeks....

Do schools do that to just hold your app and compare you to others...why not just waitlist...?

It depends on the school. Find the school on LSN and see the submit & decision dates for a general idea.

I've been in review at one school since November; another only took a couple weeks.

I've had some range from less than a week to some that are still in review and have been for over a month. Depends on the school. Temple, Nova, and Penn state were all over a month and I was accepted with decent scholarships. I don't think its necessarily a sign of anything good or bad unless the school has a reputation for a quick turnaround (ex: miami, american)

This I know, but I didn't feel like typing out the specifics when you can see my info at my lsn profile, but for full discloser...Temple - 36k over 3 years / Penn State 20k over years, and as you said waiting on Villanova.
