W&L fee waiver: too late to apply? Forum

I just got a Washington and Lee fee waiver today and would like to apply, but is it too late? Do I actually stand a chance (3.5/163/URM)?

(I also got one from the University of Kentucky and Appalachian Law... hehe! No way in hell would I attend either.)

They waive it for everyone? Or I could have had one if I would have asked?

What do you think about my chances given where we are in the cycle?

It's free to apply, so I see no downside. With your URM status I would imagine you would have a chance. Best of luck with your cycle.

It's only going to cost you 12 bucks. Worst they do is say no. If you're URM, I can't imagine that they would.

W&L waived the application fee for everyone this year. It shows up when you check out on the LSAC website.

You can also receive an immediate fee waiver from Pacific McGeorge by applying via their website.

I know this is kind of late, but it might help if you haven't heard back from W & L yet. I have a 163 3.85, and I received a fairly quick acceptance with a small scholarship. I applied mid-January, and I received my acceptance in about 2 weeks.

wow, weird first post. Yes, fee waivers are quite common. Not really sure if it matters now though as you can no longer apply to most schools.

Sorry, I was not aware that there was an appropriate first post... I do prefer to browse and read all of the great posts that are already here.

I did end up taking advantage of the waivers. I was just wondering how common the were and if was worth my time.
