do you reply to emails that tell you you're admitted?

Post by dream » Mon Feb 01, 2010 10:36 pm

Er stupid question, but I'd like to stay polite and not look stupid at the same time.

So, if you get a regular email from the dean letting you know you are admitted to X school,do you reply with thanks? The email address was the regular: admissions @ blah.edu.

Greatly appreciate replies.

I replied, and it led to nice and insightful exchanges with staff over there. It's your choice, but in any case I doubt you would be "embarrassing yourself".

^^ Oh, I'm glad to know I was not the only one who thought of replying.
I'll definitely rethink about it then. Thanks :)

I didn't even think to reply but I can see how the admissions staff would find it refreshing.
